National Conference)

The many shades of Canadian Islamophobia are embedded in various sectors of our public institutions. Acts of violence against Muslims on streets, their places of worship, schools, and university campuses have been rising over the years. The enactment of discriminatory laws and targeting of Muslims by security and Intelligence agencies has led to serious violations of Human and Charter Rights. These injustices have impacted Canadian Muslims’ well-being, their sense of security, belonging, and mental health. We will hear from experts, researchers, victims, activists, youth, and women about the infiltration of Islamophobia in Canada and how to Dismantle its structural and ideological foundations.
