What others have said about Amna:
“Amna is an incredibly talented facilitator, program developer, and community connector. At the Manitoba Museum,
"Amna’s ability to form connection is one of her greatest strengths. I had the privilege of working alongside Amna, and every step of the way our relationship was prioritized. Amna’s commitment to your relationship, creates the space to learn and grow, in addition to a formidable location to lean into when things feel uncertain. It is within this relationship where I began learning about how to critically reflect and engage with my creative side. If it weren’t for her, I would have never found these aspects of myself. Amna has made me more attentive to the texture, growth, and diversity we acquire through connection, highlighting how our interdependencies are one of the most valuable aspects of life itself.” Katherine P. - Social worker and collaborator on CommuniTea
her programming brought together communities for important dialogue, storytelling, and sharing memories. She is
warm and welcoming, creating spaces for inclusive and open conversations, while encouraging participants to share
in new experiences. She is brilliant - I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Amna.” Rachel Erickson-
Director of Learning and Engagement-Manitoba Museum
“I am delighted to wholeheartedly recommend Amna Burki as an exceptional workshop facilitator for your organization.
I had the opportunity to take several workshops with her as well as requesting her to develop a specific workshop for the
organization I work for. All my experiences participating in her sessions were outstanding!
With an extensive background oral storytelling, Amna possesses a profound understanding of the challenges and
opportunities that this kind of sessions can bring to organizations that help people thrive.
What truly sets Amna apart is their adeptness at cultivating connection and interaction through the power of
storytelling. She understands that stories have an innate ability to forge meaningful connections by touching hearts,
helping to heal, and sparking empathy. Amna's workshops go beyond mere information-sharing; to create a space where
participants engage with each other's stories and learn together fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
The art of oral storytelling, as woven into Amna's workshops, becomes a formidable tool for people to interact, learn and
connect with their own roots and heritages. By harnessing the power of narrative, participants learn to transcend facts
and figures, reaching people on an emotional level that resonates deeply. This newfound ability enhances your
organization's ability to not only convey information but also inspire action and support.
Amna possesses a remarkable ability to blend connection, interaction, and the power of oral storytelling into their
workshops. Your organization stands to gain invaluable skills under her guidance.” Valeria – Postnatal Program
