Faadumo Adam

She works closely with community members, helping connect people to the right supports and making sure nothing gets lost or delayed along the way. A big part of her role is handling referrals and keeping things organized behind the scenes so services actually reach people when they need them. Her work comes from a strong understanding of community needs, especially for families trying to navigate systems that aren’t always easy to access.

Samda Suleiman

Supports the day-to-day work of the office, helping keep programs, staff, and community services organized and moving. Often the first person people connect with, assisting with client intake, questions, and referrals in a way that feels welcoming and respectful. Works closely with the team to coordinate schedules, manage records, and make sure things run smoothly behind the scenes.

    Counseling

    Shakirat Ibitoye

    Dr. Shakirat Bolanle Ibitoye is a counseling psychologist and educator originally from Nigeria, where she earned her Ph.D. in Counseling. She has worked as a teacher, life-skills trainer, and psycho-oncology volunteer, and later served as ISSA’s Coordinator of Family Support Services in Winnipeg. She continues to support the community through counseling, advocacy, and her role as an ISSA board member.
