Islamic Social Services Association in collaboration with the Winnipeg Foundation, Canadian Muslim Leadership Institute and Communtiy Works present Building Bridges Youth Gathering 2016.

An opportunity for Winnipeg’s youth to share their stories and have their voices heard on what’s important to them and how they can shape the future of this city we all call home. An occasion for youth to foster understanding and build bridges with one another.

Program Outline:

Arrival/Registration – 8:30am – 9:00am (light refreshments)

Opening Prayer/Welcome – 9:00am – 9:15am

Teenage Bears Drum Group – 9:15am – 9:30am

Guest Speakers/Discussion – Why is it important for youth to embrace diversity? 9:30am – 11:30am

Ice Breaker Group Activity with Facilitators – Breakout Group Formation 11:30am – 11:45am

Lunch/Digital Story Screening 11:45am – 12:45pm

Conversation Cafe – 12:45pm – 2:00pm

Sharing Circle/Reflections – 2:00pm to 2:45pm

Closing Prayer/Remarks – 2:45pm-3pm
